I Hope You Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder

This is my last post for today and for the Month. I tried to make one last layout for the Bird is the Word challenge using the word HOPE. I love the lyrics from the song " I hope you dance" which I used in this layout " I HOPE YOU NEVER LOSE YOUR SENSE OF WONDER". I do  hope that my kids always keep that sense of wanting to explore and wonder about everything. This was a great picture of them taken in front of a huge fish tank in the Bahamas. I tried to create a page to make it seem as if they were under the sea between corals and seashells. I used mostly Webster's Pages products including their blue bloomers. This layout was also part of the WP July Challenge and I had to use bloomers on my page.

Happy Birthday "TO ME"

***WNNER AT MY SCRAPBOOK NOOK****
I was so happy to see I won with this layout at "My Scrapbook Nook" July sketch challenge

I can't believe its the end of July. So many challenges and time is of the essence to get those layouts in. Here is a layout I made for a challenge at "My Scrapbook Nook". I liked their sketch and decided to use my son's 10th birthday photos for it. He was so cute and happy during his birthday. I used some Tim Holtz film strips to display all the extra pictures from the birthday. He had a sleepover with his friends and the next day they went to a movie. I would have never been able to fit all those photos in one page. This way he has them as a memory even if he has to use a magnifying glass to see them.

Little Princess- Sketchabilities DT

Sketchabilites July 30th- DT Sketch
This is my second DT layout for Sketchabilities. I flipped the layout so it fits this beautiful picture of my daughter. I used these very cute and girly papers by Crate Paper. I really like spraying and inking paper but I always find it difficult because the spray doesn't always go where you want it to and then its so hard to correct mistakes.

Today

Its been such a long time since I've scrapbooked. I was away for a month visiting family abroad and I recently came back. It was such a pleasure to finally get my stuff out and make a mess of my stash. This layout I made is for the July 15th sketch challenge by "Once Upon a Sketch" designed by Nadia Cannizzo. The challenge also required to use a quote. I used the quote by Confucius " A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step". The quote is made out of ribbon cut into pieces and inked in blue. I also used the word "Today" for a challenge at Bird is the word. I used 2 chipboard swirls and inked them with Adirondack spray.  I made 3 little white flowers out of paper. The journaling says: "Today and everyday I wish you to have the courage to take the first step in every path you choose in your life. Enjoy the journey!"

Me @ 36 -- Sketchabilities Sketch # 51

Announcing my firs DT reveal for  Sketchabilities

I'm very pleased to announce my very first Sketchabilities layout based on Sketch # 51, designed by Karan Gerber for the July 15th Team Reveal. I wanted to scrap a page about myself since this is my first time on a Design Team.

The papers I used are by Echo Park. I used some tulip chipboards to fit the theme. I inked them in pink and then I put crackle accents and some gemstones. I used bloomers by webster's pages, which are now one of my favourite embellishments.  The pink roses used to be my daughter's hairclips. I turned them into beautiful embellishments.

This picture was taken beside a tulip garden during my son's school trip. My journaling card says: "If I can make a difference in the world. If I can make a difference in someone's life, then that's exactly where I want to be. What else could I ask for? Just health and happiness"
